Hypnotikon: Seattle Psych Fest - this weekend!

Hypnotikon is a two-day festival on Friday and Saturday, October 11 and 12th, 2013 at the Triple Door in Seattle, showcasing psychedelic rock.

Hypnotikon spotlights a kaleidoscopic range of American psychedelic music—blissful drones, mantric krautrock, raw-nerved garage rock, ethereal boogie, spacey epics, mystical heaviness, etc.—set in one of Seattle’s most lavish venues. The fest climaxes with analog-synth pioneers Silver Apples, whose two late-’60s albums still radiate timeless melodic and rhythmic brilliance. Graphic-art provocateurs Christian Petersen (I Want You) and Aubrey Nehring (Portable Shrines) provide retina-ravishing visuals.

Friday:
Main Theater: Cave, Lumerians, Midday Veil, Fungal Abyss
Musicquarium Lounge: Tokyoidaho, Ecstatic Cosmic Union

Saturday:
Main Theater: Silver Apples, Cloudland Canyon, Night Beats, Jetman Jet Team
